How It All Began…
New Moon Kitchen got its’ start when founder Eden Hertzog was in high school and had a part-time job as a baker in a vegetarian cafÈ. She became a mad scientist and devoted herself to inventing dessert recipes that didn’t have butter, eggs, or milk in them. When school was finished, and Eden had a slew of amazing recipes under her belt, she spent her summer selling baked goods for fun to make enough money for take a trip to California. She named the company, “Eden’s Edibles” and Dad delivered the goods across town from the back seat of his car.
The products were an instant hit, and before she knew it, Eden had herself a little business. Needless to say, that little dream has grown…
Over the years, New Moon has evolved greatly, yet somehow – the seed of its beginnings stay intact. We bake because we love to create good food, and we grow because it’s a fun adventure to run a business.
New Moon’s mission is to make people happy; from the bakers that mix the doughs, to the folks that eat the cookies, and in between – all the people that make it possible for a business to succeed in the world.
